Due to a maintenance works being carried out in the theatre, classes from 12th July to the 4th August have been rescheduled at the Beacon Centre. Changes are as follows:
Thursday 12th July, 19th July, 26th July and 2nd August
All classes are in the Sports Hall
Dragon’s class 5-6pm (5-8 year olds only)
Junior’s class 6-7pm (9-12 year olds only)
Brown belts, Teens and Adults class 7-9pm
Changes are also made to Saturdays
Saturday 14th July
All classes are on the field (The Sport Hall and Theatre are not available)
If the forecast is for rain please ensure you have waterproofs.
Dragons class normal time 12:15 till 13:00
Family Class (Kids 8 years and over, teens and adults) 13:00 – 14:30
Saturday 21st July, 28th July and Saturday 4th August
All classes are in the Sports Hall
Dragons class 11:15 till 12:00 in the Sports Hall

Well done to all of the Genesis Martial Arts students who took part in the GB Grand Slam point 
tournament that was held this weekend.
The GB Grand Slam is a new concept tournament that although it has categories for advanced fighters, it is aimed at catering for the novice fighters with minimal experience and giving them the opportunity to participate with fighters of their level in a fair, controlled environment. Genesis coaches were very impressed with the heart and determination of our fighters who dug deep when needed and exceeded our expectations.
For many it was their very first tournament but despite this they managed to produce very good results.

Maxwell Heavens, Joel Cheshire, Joe Bayliss and Raj Chiripal all fought well but just fell short of glory. We look forward to seeing many more of you in attendance at our next competitive outing.

Genesis Martial Arts will be encouraging our students to test their skills at the GB Grand Slam taking place on the 17th June at The K2 Centre in Crawley, 9am-4pm. Genesis Instructors will be there on the day to coach and assist you.
It is a great opportunity for novice and advanced fighters who have not fought before to experience competing against other club/association members in a structured and controlled manner. The GB Grand Sam team is headed by none other than Jacey ‘2 Fast 4 U’ Cashman and ran in the memory of his father Tony Cashman who sadly passed away a few years ago. This is a semi contact points event only so please speak to your instructor.
