Main Grading Sun 8th April only 5 days left to register!

There are only 5 days left to register for the Genesis Main Kickboxing grading (not for dragons) on Sunday 8th April at the Beacons Centre Beaconsfield.

All students who have previously applied for the cancelled date of March 4th have been automatically entered for the newly scheduled date. If you cannot make the new date and would like a refund please contact us directly by email clicking the link (Grading Refund) so we can arrange this for you*.

Registration will close on Friday 6th April for any students who missed the  previous registration deadline and still wish to take their grading so please visit our website.

*(Please be aware that if a refund is not requested before Saturday 7th April via the email link above please speak to your instructor as a refund will not be given)

New Main grading Date

We are happy to announce the new date for the Genesis Main Kickboxing grading (not for dragons) will be Sunday 8th April at the Beacons Centre Beaconsfield.

Grading Cancellation!

Due to the weather conditions and uncertainty of students being able to attend, a decision has been made to cancel the main grading that was scheduled for this Sunday.

All students will be informed as soon as we have a confirmed date / venue for this event. When the new date is announced, if you are unable to attend you will have the option to be credited for your next grading or a refund will be issued to you.

5 Days left to book your Grading Sunday 4th March

The 1st Genesis Martial Arts grading of 2018 is fast approaching us and will be held on Sunday 4th March. Please note the grading will not take place at our usual venue and has been moved to
The Beacon Centre, Holtspur Way, Holtspur, Beaconsfield, HP9 1RJ

Entry is online only and closes at midnight on Friday 2nd March 2018.

Please note this grading is NOT for Dragons!

The White belt grading starts at 10:30Black belt students
Please arrive for registration at 10:00.

Blue Belt and Orange belts grading’s start at 11:15.
Please arrive for registration at 10:45.

Green, Purple and Brown belt grading’s start at 12.30.
Please arrive for registration at 12.00.

 

 

Students wishing to take this grading should have three tags on their belt and confirmation from their instructor that they are ready to grade.

Also ensure that you give your up to date Licence / Grading Book to your instructor in an envelope with your name on it as soon as you have made the booking. If your licence has expired you will not be permitted to take your grading. Please renew your licence here.

White,            –  £20.00Genesis MA Grading Belts

Blue               –  £20.00

Orange          –  £25.00                    

Green             –  £30.00

Purple            –  £35.00

Brown           –  £40.00        

 

 

Please be advised that all students taking the grading must:

  1. Wear the full black Genesis Martial Arts Kickboxing Gi (no t shirts).
  2. Bring a skipping rope.
  3. Bring you full sparring kit (students taking Blue Belt and above)
  4. Focus Pads (students taking Green Belt and above)
  5. Must have an up to date licence.

Sparring Equipment  consists of:  Head Guard, Gum Shield, Boxing Gloves, Groin Guard (for males) Chest Protector (for Ladies), Shin Guards, Foot Pads.

Genesis Gold Rush – The Won Open Nationals

Genesis Martial Arts would like to say well done to our students who entered The WON Nationals on Sunday 26th January at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury. We would also like to congratulate the following fighters for their outstanding performances

 

 

Tom Ramsell -84kg Blackbelt Lt contact.

Scott Horn -75kg colour belt Lt contact.

Mark Watton -75kg vets semi contact.

All 3 had hard fights to reach final and persevered  to win Gold.

 

We have seen a rise in interest amongst genesis students of all levels wishing to participate in competitive tournaments. If you feel you would like to venture along this exciting route then please speak to your instructor and let them know. There are competitions regularly held up and down the country as well as many local events for you to attend.

And the Winner Is…

Every week in our Genesis Martial Arts clubs we recognise our students efforts by awarding Student Of the Week certificates and medals. They are awarded for various reason ranging from learning to tie your belt, gaining better focus, technique development or great attitude towards training. But one of the most admired awards in Genesis Martial Arts, is the Student of the Year Award. It is said that time flies when having fun but for some of us it is not always fun when overcoming challenges in life. Only 1 day stands between us before we will find out which of our hard working students have reaped the benefits of commitment and perseverence over the past 12 months.

The Face Of A Black Belt

At E.Y.T. we will also be honouring our other hard working students for achieving brown & white stripe grades and the coveted black belt grade.

 

Never Tired

The Junior Boot Camp Warrior 2017 will also be awarded for the first to the students that attended a tough regime throughout their summer holiday break.

 

Juniors attending EYT please remember to bring your sparring gear if you wish to play speed chess on area 2. It would be really helpful if students could bare in mind that space will be limited in the hall and lockers are available for you to use in the entrance of the leisure centre (a padlock will be needed for this to secure your items).

Genesis MA First Dan Kickboxing Black Belt

 It ain’t what you do it’s the way that you do it?

Genesis Martial Arts will be holding a challenge this weekend on Sunday 10th at our End of Year Training & Awards event, to find out who is the fastest belt slinger in Genesis. There will be 3 categories, they will be dragons, juniors and adults. Get practising and get your name down in the Genesis history books.
